Terms & Conditions

We have updated our deposit and cancellations policy.

Nothing is certain, at the moment, and things can change in an instant. To alleviate your worries in that regard, we have adjusted our cancellation and rescheduling policy.

As in the past, we will debit a 50% deposit from your creditcard as soon as you make a reservation.

But, if the Spanish government or the government from the country you’re traveling from, makes any restrictions or travel bans, you can decide to either leave the deposit for a later stay or ask us to transfer the money back to your account.

These more flexible conditions will only apply in the context of the virus. We want you to book with the knowledge that it is risk-free.

Generic conditions:

The extensive gourmet breakfast is, of course, included in the room price (unless otherwise stated in the tariff description). So are the taxes. Small snacks and drinks from our Honesty-Bar, as well as the dinner menu and other drinks, are not included and will be settled at the end of your stay.
You can pay in cash, by bank card as well as with your credit card.

The hairdryer could easily be left at home. Towels, bed linen, and big towels for our pool or the beach are free of charge. On request, we provide you with a “beach package” (two sun chairs and a Parasol) for a small fee.

Other conditions:

Adults Only in Cortijo El Sarmiento means, that we only welcome guests of 16 years and older. (Certainly, this is not applicable when reserving all rooms)
Sorry, we don’t allow any pets at Cortijo El Sarmiento.
Please note that guests are not allowed to consume food or drinks from outside on site.
Damage to movable and/or immovable assets of our B&B or other things we placed at your disposal during your stay will be immediately charged on a separate invoice – This invoice can be presented to your travel insurance.

Check-in / check-out:

Check-in is from 16.30h to 19.00h (other schedules prior to consultation only)
Check-out is from 9.00h to 11.00h (in case of an early flight we will talk about breakfast possibilities the day before)

Outside these times, there is generally no possibility to check in or check out, as we then mow the lawn, do the shopping, do the washing or repair things, and want to welcome you freshly washed and neatly combed 🙂 … and with well-scrubbed hands of course!

To be well-prepared for your arrival, it would be kind if you could tell us your expected time of arrival. The easiest way would be to inform us of your flight details and airport of destination (in that case we can even follow up any flight delays) or if you are coming from somewhere else, at which time you plan to arrive at our Cortijo.

In the event that you cancel, the conditions stipulated below shall apply. We, therefore, recommend that you take a travel cancellation insurance, which can save costs in many cases.

Cancellations must be made by email. You will receive a corresponding confirmation from us within 24 hours. Please note that a cancellation is only valid in conjunction with our written confirmation.

Our cancellation policy:

  • Refund up to 30 days before arrival:
    50% of the entire accommodation amount
  • Refund from 29 to 15 days before arrival:
    25% of the entire accommodation amount
  • Refund from 14 to 0 days before arrival:
    No refund

Payment Terms:

If you arrive more than 30 days after booking, we will be delighted to reserve your room binding upon receiving a deposit of 50 percent of the total accommodation amount. When booking online we will immediately debit the credit card you used for reserving so you don’t need to take care.

The remaining amount must be credited to our account no later than 30 days before arrival. If this deadline is not met, the reservation will automatically be cancelled. In this case, you will not receive any refund of the booking deposit. When submitting your credit card we also take care of this – so you can’t ever forget.

If you will be arriving within 30 days of booking, the entire accommodation amount is due for a binding booking. To make your life easier, this will be placed onto the credit card you used to book as well.
