In the evening, when you return to the Cortijo, exhausted and happy, a place of rest and relaxation awaits you. At the gates of Mojácar and just 10 minutes from the beach, our boutique hotel and “Adults Only” B&B is the perfect place for enthusiastic cyclists from all over the world.

Our roads

In the area around Mojácar, as a racing cyclist, you get your money’s worth. Countless possibilities of various tours with corresponding levels of difficulty; as well as untouched nature along hardly travelled roads – a real eye-catcher.

Mojácar’s streets are known for their good cycling conditions and low traffic. From bike-riders to professional cyclists – all bicycle fans will find the right route here – straight, winding, mountainous, flat and uneven. Glorious sunshine and dramatic landscapes – our region attracts cyclists who are looking for the perfect setting for many hours of bike tours. If you are planning for a long tour, you can look forward to climbs up to almost 2000 meters.

Past orange trees full of ripe, juicy fruit, through hilly desert landscapes and along endless olive groves with dark shiny olives. The gigantic rock formations that stretch along the steep, winding roads are breathtaking, and if the Andalusian mountains weren’t impressive enough, the palm-lined coastal roads offer the perfect contrast. On the promenade overlooking the sea, you can relax with an ice-cold beer, enjoy the fresh sea air and regain your strength with the help of a few tapas.

Mountain bikers will find their sporting challenges in the surrounding mountains, which offer everything from gentle climbs to fast-paced, difficult routes and push the body to the absolute limit.

If you’re getting wobbly knees now, and don’t think you might want to go “that far”, we can reassure you – you can also cycle very relaxed:
Take an e-bike instead and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of one of the most beautiful “white villages” in Spain and its endless coast.

After the ride

If after a long bike tour, with a racing bike or MTB, a few of your bones are hurting, you can book our sauna at short notice or treat yourself to an extensive sports massage. After all, you would want to be fit for the next day and the next lap, right?

B&B – Mirador Urra

This Route leaves our Cortijo in Mojácar and takes you to the „Mirador Urra“. From this lookout point, you’ll have a unique view over the semi-desert landscapes. On your way first, you pass through „El Cortijo Grande“. Then we will find small slides along Royo Morera, Gafarillos and Los Molinos de Agua Rio. On the way back, from Los Castaños, the route will be downhill for about 20 km.

B&B – Zurgena – Bédar

A bike route that starts in Mojácar and goes to Antas and further to Zurgena and Arboleas. At Albánchez you are on a height of 425m. From this point, you will start climbing up for about 7km to the highest point of this route at 770m. Then you pass through El Pocico and Lubrín to start the most challenging climb from El Marchal to Bédar with an average slope of 10%. As soon as you can see the Mediterranean again, the route only goes downhill …

B&B – Carboneras

Slightly more demanding cycle route … This route takes you alongside the coast to Carboneras with some spectacular views. Behind Carboneras the route will over 35km constantly climb into the Sierra Cabrera, our local mountains. At height of approx. 570m you’ve reached the highest point of this route. Then for the last 15km you will descend back to our Cortijo.
