Talking about …
Rental cars
If you are looking for a reasonable and above all reliable car rental company – our local partner in Mojácar is Mocar. We have been working together for a long time and can highly recommend this nice team.
Best of all, we have negotiated special rates for Cortijo guests! Just send us an email with the subject “Mocar” and we will send you all the details.
Mocar rental cars are available at Almería, Murcia and Alicante airports.
… and now it’s on with the directions of how to get here …
Coming from the direction of Málaga and/or Almería
Take the motorway E-15 / A-7 “Autovía del Mediterráneo” towards Murcia and follow it to exit 709 (Los Gallardos / Turre / Mojácar).
Directly after the exit there follows a roundabout, which you leave at the first exit towards Turre on the AL-6111 / AL-150. Continue straight ahead on this road until you have passed Turre.
Coming from the direction of Alicante and/or Murcia
Take the motorway E-15 / A-7 “Autovía del Mediterráneo” southbound. Depending on which junction you join the motorway, you will first pass Murcia, Lorca and then finally Huercal-Overa and Vera. Continue on the motorway towards Almería.
At exit 704, leave the motorway towards Los Gallardos / Garrucha / Mojacar and immediately turn left onto the N-340a.
Just before Los Gallardos, leave the N-340a again and turn left again onto the A-370 towards Garrucha / Turre / Mojácar. Follow this road for about 5 km and then turn right towards Turre from the AL-6111 / AL-152.
Stay on this road until it comes to an end in Turre. Then, turn left towards Mojácar on to the AL-151.
Coming from Turre
After about one km on the left-hand side, you will pass the garage “Taller Fran”. (Make sure you observe the speed limits here in preparation for the next instruction 🙂 .)
After a long right curve and an earthen wall on the right-hand side, you have to turn sharply right before suddenly the “Bienvenidos a Mojácar” sign appears. Do not be surprised that you are now driving parallel to the main road back towards Turre – you’re on the right track.
Coming from the coast
either from the direction of Vera / Garrucha (from the north) or from the direction of Cabo de Gata / Carboneras (from the south)
In both cases, follow the coastline in the direction of Mojácar Playa. Once you’ have reached Mojácar Playa, continue to follow the coast to the central large roundabout. Exit the roundabout in the inland direction towards Mojácar Pueblo on the ALP-118.
Follow this road until the next roundabout. Here, leave at the third exit in the direction of Mojácar on the AL-151 / AL-6111.
Finally, there is a third roundabout directly before Mojácar Pueblo, which you leave at the first exit towards Turre to stay on the AL-151/AL-6111.
Follow this road for about 3.5 km. Pass below Turre, leaving Mojácar behind you until you see the “Hasta pronto” sign on the left side of the road.
Turn left at this sign and follow the road ahead.
How to get to the Cortijo
First, the path runs parallel to the main road towards Turre but then turns into a sharp left turn towards the mountains. After about 1 km, you will see an orange plantation on the right-hand side, behind which the first walls of the Cortijo can be seen already.
Drive past the Cortijo and, immediately after, turn into our entrance. If the path bends sharply to the right, you are about 250 metres too far.
